HomePlates Worldwide LLC is a US based company which has been designing, manufacturing, and distributing decorative light switchplates since 1994.
In 2004, HomePlates introduced its unique product to the United Kingdom and in 2008, HomePlates launched in Australia/New Zealand. (Barbara Hobart, Owner of HomePlates thought it was about time that our friends across the pond, as well as our friends “Down Under” also have a solution to those plain, white, boring switch covers.)
No matter where HomePlates are sold or distributed, HomePlates manufactures all of its products in the USA. We never outsource – we are proud of the quality and the“Made in America” label.
2010 brought some exciting changes to The HomePlates-USA Collection: We began molding our own line of switchplates which have NO Visible Screws and require NO Assembly... HomePlates Switchplates simply press into place without the need for screws and fit all single-toggle switches. Injection molded and made of sturdy ABS plastic, each image/design is printed directly onto the front of each switchplate. Our unique printing process utilizes special UV coated inks so the images will never scratch off or fade.
In 2011, HomePlates introduced a new brand and range to the collection: Artitude Acrylic Switchplates: an innovative and new decorative light switchplate to hit the marketplace. Ultra-sleek, ultra-thin switchplate with bevelled edges, at only 1/8" thick, this unique accessory adds the perfect “finishing touch” to any room. (Can be used for all single Rocker/Decora switches, including sockets/outlets, dimmers, etc.) Each image is mounted onto the back of the switchplate and seen though the front of the cover, giving the image a unique depth. Our printing process utilizes UV coated inks so the images will never scratch or fade.
